I'm glad to see there are others with this mental defect.
(I'm being sarcastic so don't get offended)

I had them on my bike back in the 80's (early 80's) and thought they were awesome.

I put them on a bike back in 2004 and even after my friends got though laughing at me I left them on.

Then I saw them in a picture and it hit me.
Ya know? the mullet was in fashion back then two (I was more a Miami vice guy) but those days have passed. So I lost the fringe and never looked back.

But that's just me.
What works for someone else is their thing. So fringe away.
Let the fringe fly like sea-biscuit if it makes you happy. It's your ride brother.

This is really stupid. You guys are fighting over leather fringe on somebody's grips. Give me a break.

Fringe or not to fringe that is a personal preference as someone said. And aparently you haven't got the memo...its suppose to be okay to be gay. I'm not but if the guy who wants the long fringe is so what. Gay people ride harleys. Remember that f'ed up scene in the Suprano's? (hy couldn't they show him riding a BMW which would be more apt.)
