Well my 08 SG build date 08-07 has this feature. I can enable or disable it while the engine is on. I have used it many times while stuck in traffic and the bike does not shake as much when this is enabled. I have noticed a difference in the amount of heat on my leg.

I just went out to the garage and tried it. Switch to IGNITION position, motor not running, twist throttle forward for 3 seconds, cruise control light flashes red (I guess mine came pre-enabled). Did it again and cruise light flashes green. Bingo. BTW: I had the cruise switchon the dash OFF for this evolution, which makes the indications more obvious. Nice to know.

The EITMS feature can be turned on and off from withing the SERT software as shown in the attached pic.

So........with the feature enabled (green), I have to roll up to a stop and decide to activate by rolling throttle forward for that one stop???
&nbsp\\;
Or.........when enabled, cylinder cuts out automatically at every stop??

Its automatic and the following conditions have to be&nbsp\\;met for approximately 6 seconds.
• Engine temperature is greater than 287° F or&nbsp\\;165° C
• Twist grip opening less than 2.0%
• Vehicle speed under 1 MPH (2 KPH)
• Clutch lever in or transmission in neutral

I have an early o8 Ultra. Tried rolling throttle foward no luck, if dealer flashes for heat managment does this allow me to use throttle to enable or is it just always on. I would like this feature in the throttle and wondering if changing ecm would allow this to happen? Thinking of getting the TTS tuner and would change ecm before.

Bikes with a build date before&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;12-3-07 will need a flash to enable and disable the EITMS feature. The SERT can&nbsp\\;access&nbsp\\;this feature so I would think the TTS Tuner would also.

So could this be detrimental to the engine?&nbsp\\; What would be the disadvantges to using it?

I don't think so, under the conditions that bert listed, the only time its on is during idle.&nbsp\\; So no chance of actually loading the engine with one cylinder.
