I use Carhart Bibs and a Carhart jacket all winter. They're much warmer than leather. I use the Black ones so they don't look out of place. (IMO)

The Carharts are the best, been using them for years to work and ride in, wind proof also. Can be a little bulky too. There may be something better but I've haven't used it, sure would like to know about it.

I use to work in construction In NYC yes it gets cold there.
I use to wear a under wear it was very light and it wicked away water from pers. it it called damart ( laugh 2 the cold ) all the nfl players use to use it it worked very well for me didnt have to put layer s on layers of clothing it is pricey but well worh it ,Just like long johns also comes in a tuttle neck do not put it in the dryer it shrinks about $100 for top & bottom.

I used carhartt in -40* in New York working on an oil barge on Staten Island. That is some of the toughest and warmest winter gear i have ever used. I am going to get the artic coveralls soon. I think you will find that they will work great and the price is right.

Iuse their bibs for smowmobiling when it is as cold as -27 F. they are windproof, waterproof and very warm depending on which ones you buy. I use the Togwotee bibs as they have knee pads and I crash alot, their pants and bibs are quite flexible, zip up the sides and have an inner cuff that is designed to keep snow out when you step off the sled, this also keeps the wind out.
Wore them when I took my bike to the dealer a few weeks ago, it was 25 deg. F, was on the freeway at 70 mph, the only thing that got cold were my feet, next time I'll wear warmer boots.
