The Sundowner seat actually allowed me to sit lower. I have a 32 inch inseam and love the lower back support of the Sundowner over the stock seat. My feet are firmly planted on the ground and the seat allows me to ride comfortably. My wife likes the thicker cushionas apassenger.

I am changing from a TMAT to the SERT, I have concluded that I am not skilled enough to dial in the Tmax. Getting good HP and TQ #'s but cant get my MPG over 30. Planning to do another upgrade to the HQ 113 or the 103, will do it then with HQ fuel mgmt system.

I have a PCIII on my bike right now. Works well.

However, I just purchased a SERT on Ebay for $235. I'm taking my bike in next week for a dyno tune. I think you'll be happy with a SERT for the exact reasons you stated. Also, since you aren't planning future changes, you can pay for one dyno tune and you should be all set.

Another reason I'm going to the SERT is because I live close to Latus motors in Portland. Widely known as one of the best dyno shops in the country. Can't wait to see what they can do for me.

I hope that SERT you bought off EBay is new. SERT locks to a bikes VIN and is useless on all other bikes.

I want to get (dont laugh) good gas mileage, reliability,no maintenance, and smooth operation. I have absolutely no desire to change cams, heads or other performancemods except air box.
Which ECM system would do all that???!!
Thanks!!!
jim
Either the DTT TCFI auto-tune system or the Thundermaxx auto-tune system is the way to go. They do cost a bit more upfront, but in the long run they save a lot of money and headaches. Once you install them, you start with a basemap that is close to your setup...........then let the system tune itself. Apply the values to the basemap a few times, and the system is good to go and will always be making adjustments for the changes to the bike or the weather.

I had a PCIII for 2 years on my bike, and after wasting $$$ on dyno tunes and still having the bike just run OK............I ditched that outdated technology and went with the DTT auto-tune system. My bike runs super smooth now, better power, and I can change anything I want and not have to throw money away on a dyno tune.

A SERT and 3 dyno tunes (due to changes in engine build/mufflers) has convinced me to go the auto-tune route on any future HD's I may buy.

regards

I have an 07 RK and I do like the results I got with the SERT and it's upgradable if I change things down the road and if I have troubles out on the road almost any Harley dealer can help fix it.

Terminal Velocity II by Terry Components install and forget about it. It automatically adjusts the ECM and you don't need no dyno. I went through that on the last bike, boy what a waste of time and money after every upgrade another dyno. No more for me!

Went with the SERT and pleased with the results. Of course I had all the free dyno time I needed and was able to dial in each cylinder exactly how I wanted it. Can get a bit costly if you have to spring for the Dyno tune.

Thundermaxx is by far the best system made for any Harley Davidson. It automatically tunes the bike every time you ride. It also allows the bike to run cooler and the performance is amazing. Price is a little more but definately worth every penny.
