Default What are the quietest true dual setup

Just wondering what are the quietest true dual setup for a Ultra?

How much louder would they be over slipons and stock pipes?

Want more sound but not enough to cause decell popping or decell pharting or any other unwanted sounds. Still want to hear my tunes also.

My bike had Sampson Rolled Thunder slipon's when I bought it. After a summer of riding I put Tru-sac true duals keeping the slipon'sand it change it enough to notice it but it's still not too loud.

Jahhay32, Duals actually help stop decel popping. Had samson ovals with stock head pipes decel popping was bad put samson duals on decel popping was eliminated. Last spring I put thunderheader slipons on and on occasion I will have decel popping.

I gave up on the duals....way too loud for me. I had V&H true duals with Rush 1.75 and I also tried the 1.50 baffles.
With the 95" motor, cams and heads it was too much noise to put up with all day.
I switched to the Supermeg 2-1 and it is now much quieter. I still prefer the duals look, but I needed a quieter daily rider.

I was told my Bassani true duels with power curve pipe were loud. Maybe depends on each persons ear.

i'm running v&h duals w/ kerker mufflers. 2 wraps of fiberglass packing in each muffler gives them a nice, melow tone.
get a muffler you can re-pack and experiment w/ the sound.

might as well keep it stock, why would you go quiet with true duals? stock runs good, you will not get anything from tyue duals unless you put more money into it for remapping and stock looks good too. save your money

I've got the Vance and Hines True Duels w/Ovals and will soon be switching to the D & D Fat Cat 2 into 1 as I've read it's not so loud and performs well. The V and H's are just too loud for my taste, especially on the open road, but DAMN, they do look and perform well! I've tried the SE slip on's but the power takes too big of a hit.

Go with street performance SE mufflers, V and H headers and a Fuel Pak. You get the look, the louder than stock, but not too loudand reducedheat.
