Default Use of red turn signal lenses on front of bike ?

I wanted to see if anyone has put red turn signal lenses on the front of there bike. Dothey need to be amber on the front to be legal?Do you think in might cause a beef with the po po if they were not? Or would it not be a good idea to do it in general?

Not sure about your state, but that would be a instant ticket here in VA.

Display of a red light in the front of a motor vehicle is illegal in every state I'm aware of. Doing so in many jurisdictions CAN bring charges of impersonation of a Police Officer - NOT a charge you want to face!

illegal, plus could be confusing for on coming traffic etc as they are restricted to the BACK of vehicles and this is emphasized in all drivers ed training and a commonly held truth.

I'm all for adding lights to a bike and greater visibility, but I would say this could be dangerous at worst, confusing at best.

Some amber LEDs might be an alternative if your looking for distinction and visibility.

I put the chrome windshield trim LED strip on my SG; looks cool and is more visible now.

Only emergency vehicles can have a red light of any sort in the front. Even turn signals...

Red lighting is only allowed in the rear of any vehicle. In front only white or amber colored lighting is allowed.
