No Blue and No Red.
Don't do it. Police don't like people using their colors.

Some states have adopted additional lighting laws, but all states' basiclighting laws are the same. They are adopted from DOT. (federal rules and regs) That is why the car manufactures don't get creative with their lights. The basic rule is: WHITE to the front ONLY; RED to the rear ONLY; amber/yellow anywhere. These are the only colors that are legal. Yeah I know everybody has seen other colors......but that doesn't mean they are legal. Our local cops don't do any enforcement on different colored lights......butmost of the state boys do.......this causes much confusion with the public, but that is how it is. Our attorney general has ruled that if all you can see is the "glow" of another color, then it is o.k., however, if the light itself is visable, and it is other than the legal colors mentioned above, you can be cited. So for you guys using the blues and greens etcin the motor area for high lighting purposes (which I personally find amusing...kind of a San Franciso thang IMOP) you could be cited if your "other colored" light bulb is visable.

I have been riding around with red bulbs in turn signals of my truck for 3 yrs now. I know its far from legal but i like the look. I have 5% tint on all my windows also and i still can get a brake tag without getting my brakes checked. There are a few perks living in the armpit of the world.
