Iam looking to buy a luggage rack for the top box on my 08 Ultra. In looking thru E Bay I notice someone selling an aftermarket rack made by Add On, Inc.......Much cheaper than HD......

Anybody have any experience, good or bad, with this product???

I would not skimp on pieces that are chrome and out to see, pay the price and buy harley unless 1. you like the other rack design 2. you don't mind replacing often from rusting..

 

Personally, I would be reluctant to buy after market chrome I haven't seen. You can get the tour pak rack from Chicago Harley 20% off and know it's right.

yup,,, bite the bullet on this one and get HD. If it was like on the floor board or lower engine,,, aftermarket would be ok

 

Couldn't agree more with those who've said to get the HD part. It's a quality itemthat comes with good mounting instructions. I have thousands of miles on mine hauling everything this side of a grand piano with no problems.
BTW, "Add-on" is kind of a lower tier after-market parts vendor that caters mostly to metric bikes.
