Default who has had new type front motor mount installed

For those that have had the front motor mount changed on their '06 tourer I would like to ask, "did you noticed any difference (meaning vibration or shake) in the floorboards, handlebas or seat.

I just installed the new motor mount on my 05 Ultra. It seems to shake less and has less vibration.

What's up with this mount you're discussing? What is it and why would I want to install it on my 05 Ultra? IS it a Dealer Item?

Thanks for any response

Hey Bob,
The mount is for 06 touring models. You're good and do not have to worry about it.

I have had the new mount installed and I think it must be stiffer than the original.
It seems to vibrate more than before the first one failed.

That is exactly what I was waiting to hear. I have had the same impression after it was installed on my SG. The problem is that I also had SE slipons, SE air box and the download done at the same time so I didn't know what modification was causing this shake and vibration, especially at idle. I realize the pipes are a contibuting factor but not to the extent that I feel.
I may try to retrieve my old mount from the dealer and have it reinstalled. It was not torn when they removed it.
Where do you feel the vibration? Floorboards? Handlebars etc.? How is it at idle?

My stealership tech told me they are only changing the mounts if your stock one goes bad. This is not any type of recall according to him.

The dealer put one on my '04 RK last month. It's supposed to be a replacement for all touring models. I only got to ride it one day before it went back in for a fork seal leak, but I really couldn't tell much difference from the old style. I'll know more when I get it back. Here's a pic of the old and new. And here's the dealer service bulletin.
