RE: Garage door opener
The Harley one works slick I put on on my wifes Sporster you just flip the high beams on and then back to low beam and the door goes up.
I also have made a garage door opener I used a standard old door opener and solder in some long wires and a small momentary switch in, I put the unit under the seat and the buttom on the dash, works fine.

RE: HD Garage Door Opener
Hello,
Perhaps someone with the HD Garage Door Opener could help me. I live in Australia, and I want to install an HD Garage Door Opener. However, we in Australia use 240V as opposed to 110V in the States. I can order the unit from the States and have it delivered, but I was wondering if someone could tell me if the unit is multi-voltage (110 - 240). If not, does it appear to be a simple procedure to replace the 110V power supply with a 240V Radio Shack, or is the power supply integrated into the logic board with the receiver? If they are separate within the shell, then I can replace the 110V power supply with a 240V power supply.
Thanks in advance.

RE: HD Garage Door Opener
Hello,
On my 08 Street Glide I bought an odometer reset switch and rubber boot. \\; Grand total of about $11.00. \\; I drilled a hole dead center in the center console just above the console insert and mounted the switch there. \\; I then soldered two wires from the switch to my garage door opener. \\; I tried mounting the whole garage door opener \\;under the console and it wouldn't work when reassembled. \\; \\;Next, I took the board out of the garage door opener and mounted that under the console. \\; Again it still wouldn't work when \\;I reassembled it. \\; In the end I ran the wires from the switch under the center console and down behind the left side cover. \\; I \\;mounted \\;the garage door opener inside the cover using velcro. \\; This setup works great and it's easy to change the batteries if I need to.
