Didn't realize they made this part for the touring bikes untill I saw one on a Ultra at the local stealer this weekend, nice chrome light bar for $179, yep gotta have one, on order from mandmcycles.

 

Just bought one from Chicago HD for $143.

When you go to install, here are some hints.....Snap in the tribar light into the extension first.Check the alignment of the tabs to the bosses on the extension for the two self tapping screws.Mine was way off and had to slot the tabs so the screws would go in straight.Good idea to drill the holes bigger(maybe another .020")in bosses.Mine cracked.
After you have checked the above ,remove the tribar light and install the exstension(easier to install the lock nuts,washers,and fender brace) then snap in the light.

 

A buddy has one on his FLHP--looks good and the brightness contrast between the run/brake light function is very good IMO.

 

First introduced on the Street Glide? Is this the same or all new?

Razer: It uses an LED that is the same size as, and can replace, the SG LED, but is a run/brake light; not justa running light as the SG originally was and continues to be.

 

Same concept. Different approach. This is a chrome "slap on the bottom of the fender" add-on piece. The SG tri-bar is actually part of a facia that extends up into saddlebag fillers.

 

Be careful with the parts as they are chrome plated plastic. Not that is a bad thing.

FYI they have an upgrade to the SG tri-bar LED that is a run/brake light. I got it for Christmas and just installed it today. Looks good and hopefully adds a bit of safety to it.
