In my prayers bro.. I have friends that beat this same disease. Another that is gone through bladder cancer and is in remission. Get good doctors, do what they tell you and turn your life and your will over to the care of a Higher Power.
You'll be okay, you have a lot to live for, that counts for a lot!

Sorry to hear about this Sparky. Keep the faith, Like others have said knowledge is power. Find out as much as you can. My wife had a stroke at age forty one after knee knee surgery back in 1998. We've been to more Doctors than you can count, some knowlegeable, and reasuring, some cold and arrogant. Do your homework, if your religious trust in the Lord, and your gut, and God willing you'll pull through this tough time. You might want to check the web for some prostate cancer forums. You can get some good info, and personal experiences there as well. We'll be praying for you. Keep us posted.

I am sorry to hear of your situation.
Just remember to focus on the good things in your life for they are what we continue to live for. Also cancer is no longer a death sentence its only a hiatus. The best thing other than following your doctors advise is to eat only healthy foods and exersize as much as you can comfortably do( give your body the best chance you can ) to beat this illness.
Do not forget to look after your mind as depression will take a serious toll on your recovery. Seek help from a professional and just as importantly from family and friends.
Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery
