Engine Misfiring Scare!

Engine Misfiring Scare!
After going to the 95 in., TW37 cam and new bearings ect, I have about 300 miles and did my 3rd oil change to Amsoil recently. I always pull the plugs and turn the engine with the starter to build oil pressure before starting after doing an oil change. I didn't have a chance to ride so I just checked for leaks and let the bike run for a little bit. Several days later i rode to a local watering hole and the motor cycle was missing and sputtering at every rpm that I used. Ran terribly! I thought I must have screwed up the carb when rejetting or that some part of my rebuild had gone south, so upon returning I listened and wondered for a while. No solutions, so I started by removing the plugs and lo and behold, the front plug had no gap. Just what I need, a stretching connecting rod! Well, I regappped the plug and replaced it and the bike ran perfectly. I remembered having dropped it when removing to build up oil pressure. Sure am glad it was that simple.
