I went to my local Indy shop who is a Drag Spec dealer (my neighbor works the counter) and asked about the 8" black Klock Werks Flare windshield. He informed me that they were $169 retail and were on back order till the 20th. This I all knew due to this forum. He then said that the computer stated that there was a price change indicated on that item through Drag Spec. I asked what the new price was and they advised that he would not know until the 20th when Drag Spec has them in stock.


I hope the price is not increasing by much. Anyone heard the same?

Thanks, but I know about that thread .....that is where I got the basic infomation about the shield (price $169 & out of stock). I was just not aware of a price change throught Drag Spec on the 20th. Just was wondering if anyone else had heard of the price change?

Maybe it was answered in that thread and I skipped over it by mistake. I thought I went through the whole thread as it was going on a week ago.

Just orderd one 2 days ago from the Kustom Baggaers guy. Got an email confirming the order. Nothing else. No time frame or price increase. Don't know if that means one is coming soon for the advertised price or what. T.

I've been following the thread pretty closely and then went back and reread it.

The link to drag specialties doesn't come up for me and I didn't see anything about a price increase.

I read about clearviews price increase in Feb but nothing was said about a Klock Werks price increase.

That was the question here.

 

I just PMd Joe to ask about the price increase as this is the first I am hearing about this as well even through the storm that was going on last week about these shields.

Why is only the 8inch clear paintable, and the 12 inch clear says nothing about being paintable????
Need to know, so I can jump on one to get it to my painter before he starts my bike

 

Confirm with Joe, but I believe it is the coating that they put on the 8' paintable version. I think it also says on the website. I don't think they recommend painting the 12' version due to loss of visibility.
