Well wasn't able to salvage / retrieve pics from my camera after a crash, so here' a grainy one of G/F from her camera.
More of a die hard rider than a lot of you all.
Left house sunday morning for breakfast in town.
about 29F and we're 15 miles out Open plains all the way in.
did errands, ate and went by bank. By then temp was 35.
rode back home about 4 hr later.

Well everytime a subject of cold comes up and when is it too cold, Get a lot of responses that anything under 40 is too cold.
Or it is because of the salt on the road in the winter time.
Now most of us are on baggers with a big fairing to block the wind.
she did it on a sporty not only did she NOT complain of the cold it was HER idea to go ride!
Apparently you missed the point of riding around for about 4 hours ( mostly around town stop and go) by the time we got home it was about 60 miles .
Plus coming home we were into a head wind of 25 mph.
And NO you did NOT see a trail of urine and gum drops. This MARINE does NOT EVER turn tail and run!! (if you were referring to me in your remark).
I had other things to do after the Original post.
So NO I don't think it's arrogant at all to say she's more of a die hard than a lot of you!
As for the coldest ride, I've done several of a 100 -175 miles in 0- (minus)10.
We have a chicken sh*t ride here based on riding in the cold.
Yes I do own a truck, but elect to ride when possible and reasonable.
Well does anyone here know where Rocky Mountain Nation Park is and the pass over the top?
Or Poudre River Canyon and Cameron Pass.
Both are over 10,000 feet. Have been over both with snow on both sides of road 6 foot and higher. Twice on Rocky mountain the road was fogged in and in one spot it is basically straight down on both sides (spooky). Included a pic no fog nice day one side of drop off.
Got pictures from a few years ago of us standing on the snow even with bottom of Cameron Pass sign. This pic most of snow is from plow pile up, but you get the idea.
One some have seen before. Taken at lincoln monument highest point on I-80 (over 8000ft)
One going to an Abate meeting.
Expect to get more newer ones, maybe this weekend. Storm coming in so I may do overtime, we will see what happens.
I put this in the touring section, because I'm on an EGC and she was with me.
Girl friend I just got together a year ago, She got the sporty this summer, so I don't think she's quite experienced enough to ride like this yet, but she's getting there.
Cameron Pass is about 350mile round trip Rocky Mountain Pass is about 550 miles
Anybody want to take the challenge? come up here and see me and we will ride over the top.

ChooChoo, i think you are a few fries short of a happy meal but that was a nice comback and i think any girly who would sit on a bike in that kind of weather let alone ride one has earned her stripes as Hard Core. There are a lot of sugar ***** on here that think 40* is way to cold so your gal gets my vote.

I think you're lost, cause your in the wrong forum. Sportster threads are one section above the Touring section. I think the moderators put it there deliberately so the oddnerd would step in here and get some abuse fromreal bikers. Now take your little gummy bearbike and your gum drops and head back on over to that other section ok? Bub bye now. (lmao) 30 miles round trip woooooahhhhhh
