I love my Ultra, except I think the seat sucks if you have any height at all. I'm 6'3"and would like a little more stretch out. I haven't sat on a Tallboy but the idea of it sounds right...but I don't know how comfortable they are. My wife is 5'2". I'm thinking the Tallboy is going to get me back and down just a bit and may even give her a little better visibility.

Any seat setup suggestions?

Hi Janman, I have a ProPedic Ultra seat that puts you back 2" and you can ride it all day, it has multi layers and leather cover. I bought it for my 07 Elec. Classic and then a 08 Road Glide and this new seat won't fit an 08. Google it and read about the construction. I have a 34" inseam and this seat was perfect, its also super for the passenger.

I've had Great luck with the HD Sundowner & Corbin Dual Tour - as both seats set me back & down.. I'm 6'4"

I have the Tallboy seat on my 07 Ultra. I like the position that it puts me in being that I am 6'4".I have about a 33" inseam. The stock seat put me to close to the floor boards vertically and front to back. The tall boy seat puts me at avery comfy position. My wife still has plenty of room. She is about 5'8" and average build. As far as comfort I would rate it at about 7 out of 10. It is not quite as comfy as my Mustang seat I had on my old ride, but for the price and the fact that it is a factory seat I think it is pretty good. I have done up to 550 miles in one day and was able to tolerate it. I am thinking about have a gel pad installed by Meancitycycles.com. Do a search and you should be able to find some more info on them.

 

Janman, google " ProPad Cyclepedic Seat" then scholl down to the "Cruiser Customizing site" scholl down the seat pads until you see the Ultra seat its the one for $539. I am an older (73) rider who does lots of long runs, like the one next week down to the Dragon, and I have owned 34 large bikes and bought Mustang ( does not put you back) Corbin , same thing, this Ultra seat weighs about 3 times more then stock seat, if you don't agree its the most comfortable seat ever ship it back and I'll return your check. $ 450. shipped ,lower 48.
