Default IDS

O.K. I bought a used 2007 ultra classic with 3000 miles in October ,had only put 750 miles on it before winter.Just wondering if I can tell if it has an IDS installed as there are a few extras on it already.thanks in advance for the help.ps the bike vibrates when I start it up but seems to ride smooth through the 6 gears

If you reach in from the rear on the left side...feel the inside of the belt drive sprocket. If you have the IDS you can feel a "drum-like" assembly (that's bolted up between the wheel hub and the sprocket). The pictures of the assembly on the HD site may help (in all honestly, I never felt around up there before I had it installed.....but I assumethat stock was adirect sprocket-to-hub assembly....somebody can correct me if I'm wrong here).

As per most observations, it's one of those things that you may never miss if you never have it (but you'll appreciate if you *do* have it). It's a worthy investment, but you can read up on that aspect of it in lots of other threads.

Follow this link; it has pictures of what the pre- and post-install sprocket looks like. https://www.hdforums.com/m_2135127/tm.htm

IDS still has "Elbow Grease" program going, in to February.

My dealer also has the IDS on sale ($230 vs. $305 full retail), which was great when combined with the Elbow Grease program.

I can't wait until the spring!

IDS rocks
I thought it got rid of the "rocks"! Or made it quieter
