It looks great !
That is the same basic colors on my bike, though I had a base coat of black metallic laid down first over the stock black, then the candy tangerine flames, then an overspray of the entire bike with candy tangerine "thinned" into the first coat of clear.
Those flames will really pop in the sun!
electaRick, that bass boat color as you put it is a function of the camera, at times when taking paictures of mine it also looks a little purple, when actually in the dark the base looks black, and in the sun the base looks almost a root beer color.
Graham, get that thing done so you can enter it in the show, should be a show stopper when done!

I'm hoping to have it all done in time but right now it hinge's on GMR getting the case back to me. I called Steve and asked where it was at and he was waiting for the Jim's assembly. Early this week they had their rodsscheduled for shot peening and that was the cause of the hold up was the rods. Hopefully that case is headin back to me in time fornext weekend.
I'm sure this thing would compete well in themodified touring class. Typically the World of Wheels show in Calgary has about200-250 bikes in the show with a hall dedicated specifically to bikes. Last time I entered the show I won Best Restored Class and a few other notables withthe entry of my 1969 Camaro RS Z/28. Here is one shot of the carafterthe 2005 show in which it cleaned up!
I took "Outstanding Engine Restored" "Best Streetable Performance Car" "Jim Leslie Six Shooter" and the much coveted "Best Restored 1968-1972" Class. That was the toughest one to win as the cars in this class included a couple half million dollar hemi cars, but still beat them out.
Sorry for hi-jacking the thread but this enter the show comment from Guy brought back some recent memories. Had to share.
