Where I've been... Number 1. Daytona Tons to do. Racing, new bike stuff, old bike stuff, chickies, nightlife, daylife, riding, the beach, drinkin' to name a few.

Number 2. Sturgis. Great riding, gambling, bikes and more bikes and babes, Great part of the country.

Number 3. Myrtle. I went last year and it was OK. Not as many people and kinda city like. oh, but it hasthe Chickies. Kind ofa big party scene.

Haven't been to Laconia. I here the traffic is a bitch but once in town it's OK.

Hope this helps, Tom

I live near Laconia. The riding in the northern New England area is much nicer than the straight and flat roasds of coastal Carolina.
The weather is more predictable in SC.
The Eye candy is way better in Myrtle.
That said, I love NE country riding.
I have to agree, living in NH as well and having lived in SC.

I think it depends on what you want. Riding - go for Laconia. Chicks in bikinis - go for Myrtle.

I lived in MB for 18 years prior to moving to Texas 6 years ago. The wife goes back to visit her mother several times a year. Igo once a year, bike week. The riding does suck. There isn't a decent twisty road within 75 miles of MB, but the party is blast.

I've never been to Laconia, but the beach and the sun at Myrtle you can't beat.

I live in Upstate NY, so I can go to the mountains and ride the twistees any time..... assuming that we aren't in the 9 months of winter.. Lake Placid is beautiful, love to ride there. I go to Myrtle every year for the sun, warmth, and it is what you make if it. We make the rides to Charleston and other places while we are there. Ride all day, party after the scoot has been parked. My wife loves going to MB as well. Haven't been to Laconia so I can't say one way or the other.

I'm heading to Myrtle Beach. Laconia just doesn't have the weather at that time of year.

I've been to Myrtle a few times and the last time I left after 2 days. Way too much traffic, way to many drunks on bikes balling themselves up. I doubt I ever go back.

Never been to Laconia can't say first hand. But I agree with a couple others on here, plan a nice scenic ride somewhere and see other parts of the country. I have done that the past couple years and love it.
