What, no warranty responses? Where are the warranty people?

 

Your right pop but it's the ECM on the bike that the SERT is tied to, not the *bike* itself. In the post above old.gezr has the SERT and the ECM that it is married to so that match will work. The ECM however has to be reset to accept the change from one bike to another. No idea how it senses the change, something in the wiring harness maybe?

 

Harley sure has some policies and practices that just make you cringe. Perhaps this recession will help them remember who it is that makes them go. Then again.....

Buy aftermarket and send a mesaage.

 

The ECM has to be married to theTSM, TSSM or HFSM of the new bike it is being installed on by a Digital Technician. You will pay for for the labor time to do this. (TSM=turn signal module / TSSM=turn signal security module / HFSM=hands free security module)
My suggestion would be to just buy another SERT.

 

Well there ya go. I figured someone around here could explain it but unless labor has gone up to $300 + an hour I think buying another SERT might be a little extream.
