I was told at my dealer that once the SERT was used it couldn't be used on any other bike. Otherwise why wouldn't the dealer just use the same SERT to tune everyone's bike?

The ECM has to be married to theTSM, TSSM or HFSM of the new bike it is being installed on by a Digital Technician. You will pay for for the labor time to do this. (TSM=turn signal module / TSSM=turn signal security module / HFSM=hands free security module)
My suggestion would be to just buy another SERT.

Well there ya go. I figured someone around here could explain it but unless labor has gone up to $300 + an hour I think buying another SERT might be a little extream.
