Smoked Down Kitty on Street Glide @ Night
While riding the other night...about 9pm....down a country road...while jacking with my radio...I hit a good sized cat. It just shot across the road in front of me...but I was surprised how smooth the bike went over it. Scared the _ _ _ _ out of me but didn't do anything to the bike. Anybody else got any animal stories?

RE: Smoked Down Kitty on Street Glide @ Night
One day my wife and I where just out on a weekend cruise, I was going maybe 45MPH, and from the corner of my eye I saw two birds comming right at use, I didn't have time to say or do anything. The first bird pulled up and just missed me, but the second bird flue right into my wife and hit here in the shoulder. She started screeming and yelling, I turned to look to see if see was ok and then I just busted up laughing, Then she started yelling at me like it was my falt, but then she started laughing too. It was pretty funny. Still to this day everytime she tells someone the story that Bird gets bigger and bigger everytime.

My wife and I were riding with another buddy one night on a dark country road he was slightly in front of us. We were doing about 50 mph when all of a sudden a cat ran out of the drainage ditch just barly in front of his front wheel and slammed directly into the side of my bike, it hit the pipes just behind my foot, then flipped up and hit her foot and ancle. She was flipping out, I was laughing/ pissed i was not sure if it damaged the bike yet. Turns out it scratched the he!! out of my pipes but mainly on the bottom so it is not even noticable.

Best 'animal' story I ever heard was one from another forum a few years ago from a guy in Arizona I think who was out riding and up ahead saw what he thought was the road moving. Before he knew it he was riding thru a tarantula 'migration!! Thousands of them moving across the road in almost a blanket of spiders!!. He said he thought he couldn't stop and he certainly didn't want to fall off so he just slowed down, put his feet up and kept going until he was clear.[sm=massbounce.gif] Gee, give me kangaroos anyday!!
