My 103 is almost done....
I'm having the dealer install the SE Stage 2 103 kit with the SE255 cams. Also getting the Chrome front end. The dealer has 20% off parts and labor on all SE big bore kits and with the Elbow Grease discount on the chrome front end, I couldn't resist.
The front end went on this morning and this afternoon the engine was down to the case and the cams were out. Should go back together tomorrow. It is supposed to be 50 degrees tomorrow so I may even get to break it in.
The chrome front end looks great!

You will like it Go the Dyno for baggers section to check out specs. Stock heads and bored out to a 103" with SE 255 cams is getting 85-90 HP and 100-105 ft/lb of torque...RIGHT where you want and need it!

My dealer doesn't have a dyno, so just going with the appropriate SERT map until spring, then a proper dyno tune.

I gotta say, I've been dyno tuned to death at $300-$400 a pop over the last several years. Some real good, some average and some bad. The SERT 103" download on my plain old 103" Stage II build on my 08 SG has my bike running better than any of those tunes. You get the right SERT map and let us know whether you really need that "custom" dyno tune.

Jim,
Which 103 kit did you go with the stage2? The standard or the pro stage2?
I'm thinking of going that route if my dealer has to go into the engine.
Have itthere for an existing oil leak,in which they have already replaced the trans
gasket.
I'm hoping they have to replace the cases,if so I'm gonna strike a deal for the 103 kit
hoping to save some labor costs.
Let us know how your build turns out.

I guess I don't know the difference between the standard or the pro kit. Mine is the one with the flat top pistons and SE255 cams with the stock heads.
I picked it up today, but it is too cold to ride much. I did notice a couple things, the clutch is stiffer to pull with the new spring, it is a bit louder, and it sounds really good when idling. I didn't get on it hard yet so I can't tell if I can see a difference in performance yet.
