I would never pay extra for ABS and will never have it if I can option out of it. I've ridden 40 years without it and don't feel it is necessary.

I agree that at some point things such as motorcycles become 'too safe', to where they aren't really fun (part of the reason we enjoy riding is the freedom, danger, etc.). I don't have a bike with ABS (05 EG Standard), but if it were an option that might be one I'd consider. Air bags (like on the new Goldwings) to me is a bit excessive, but everyone has their thresholds, I was just curious why ABS is yours....
