A better idea would be to have them properly adjusted rather than not use them at night when you could use them the most. It's not a difficult job and I see no sense in not using them if your bike is equipped with them.

Just turn the "driving lights" (passing lamps?) off at night. They are usually crooked and blind your buddies. In some states you will geta ticket.

The main reason I want the aux lights is for visability at night. I'll risk the ticket in hopes of not smacking the deer.
I usually turn the cruise switch off when I shutdown but it is probably just me being a little type A when it comes to the scoot.

The passing lights are illegal at night? Never heard of that. I've always run them, and I see plenty of LEOs on my way to work, which is nearly always in the dark.
Is this true in some states?
Also, I haven't looked into this issue on a Harley, but on most motorcycles there is a "load shedding" relay that drops out and shuts off the headlight and other electrical loads while cranking the engine, so if the H-D is so equipped (I never paid attention to see whether the headlight goes out while cranking), then it doesn't matter whether your passing lights and cruise control are turned on all the time. (I spent last weekend troubleshooting a load shedding relay problem on a friend's BMW.)

Well if you guys are going to insist on leaving them on then take XTrooper3936's advice and have them properly adjusted. Some of you knuckleheads blind me when you pass.

The only law concerning driving lights at night, can't be on when the bright lights are on, hell every car made now has them. My 95 Camaro and 03 Silverado has them. I don't know about everyone else, but on my 05 hit hi beam they go off..
