I did the same as streetrunner, I removed the stock shocks on my 07 SG and went back with 13' progressive 440's, big improvement on the ride.

I did exactly that. I put 13" oem shocks and a 1" drop kit on. And it is a HUGE improvement in ride. I no longer bottom out all the time, and with the reduced air pressure in the longer shocks, the ride feels just as good as it did on my 2 EG Classics.

Best $150 Ive spent on the Street Glide.

I installed a lowering bracket kit on my RK eight years ago. I believe it was from a co. called JT
engineering. It was an extremely heavy duty kit. Overkill, really. It dropped the bike an inch,
and yet kept the same angle on the shock, which stll provides a great ride. I make sure my air
pressure is always up in the shocks and usually add more air when planning to ride with a passenger. In all that time, I have bottomed out maybe a dozen times, but it wasusually due to
potholes that were deep enough that almost any bike would have bottomed out. I have also
seen guys with some shocks that are so hi-sprung, that when they hit the same pothole, they
nearly fly off of their bikes when they hit the exit lip of the pothole. I don't think harley put
a lot of tech r&d into this shock as someone stated. I think that they are just using the low-profile shocks that have been in their catalogs for years. Hope I don't sound like a know it all.
Now if your question was about women, I am the expert. I have a black belt in divorce. Good luck.
