Default Tailight cover or not?

I am having a tough time deciding to keep this tailight cover on or not?
I put it on because I didn't like the light shining up for the plate, after the plate was moved below the bag. I am thinking of replacing the tailight with one with no clearwindow for the plate. I am "up in the air" about it so you decide....

I have the same problem on my street glide. I like the led tail light but the light window is on the top. The plate is on the underside. I have not put a tail light visor on mine yet as im trying to figure out how I could cover the clear light window some other way.

Long as its just plain chrome and doesnt have a skull or wings or other crap on it I think it completes the look.

Skull and wings, it was cheap! They do sell a lens with no clear window at all...

Looks OK. And protects all that red plastic.

Creep,
I think a lay down style may look good so that it would keep in line with the clean rear end of the bike. JMHO Does the license plate location cause any dragging problems?

Actually, I removed the rear signals and tried a laydown tailight. The laydown light without the signals looked goofy. So, I took it back and bought the cover since I just really wanted to get rid of the clear window. I could not find a plain chrome cover like described above, so I got the skull one. It is for the SG that has a light below. I then bought the signals and now I have mixed feelings about the cover with the signals, I also don't like the limited view of the brake light from the side.... I seen an all red tailight you can buy at J&P or HD, the one that comes with the plate relocation kit, similar to the SG set up. I am not sure what to do.
The plate relocation under the bag doesn't drag at all! It doesn't really hang down any lower than the muffler did. A friend and I laid it over as fas as we could and it won't touch. Maybe if you went over a crest while turning you could possibly get it to hit but so would have a muffler...

Take the part off and replace it with one of the laydown lenses, which will follow the lines of your bags.
