Default Roadking front end

I am getting my front end forks replaced with the chrome front end kit. It was suggested that I consider lowering the front end. Can anyone fill me in as what benifit that might be other than a 1 inch height difference. Is there any change in the handling the service sales dude says the other touring modles are set up this way.

As far as I know all the touring bikes have the same rake and trail and the same length front forks. The only time I hear of anyone lowering the front end is when they put on an 18 or 21 inch wheel or they have lowered the back and want to level the bike. I can't think of anyone that has just lowered the front end on a stock bike without doing either of the former things. I'm sure someone will post up if I'm mistaken. (read as wrong)

You should not lower only the front of a bike. that has stock 13" shocks in the rear. Handling issues will arise. I read that in the progressive front lowering kit instructions, I believe that was where I read it.

If ya lower the Front - You should lower the REAR....

If you lower the front go with the Progressive Ft Lowering Springs.. Much better the HD's

There's many ways to lower the rear... Depending on the weights you may carry... Progressive makes some great shock\springs... There are many Air Ride systems out ther also... and air lowering shocks... And last you can always get a lowering cam for the rear...

If you lower the bike with shocks\cam you'll reduce the shock travel.... There by reducing some of that cush for your tush
