RE: HQ 103 113
Got a builder back home that did a 107 for a friend of mine. They welded the crank and everything. With a TM its turnin 115hp and 126tq with a Thundermax on the 107 build. You may have to add a oil cooler with a 107 build.
A 103 would probaly do all you ever wanted and have decent fuel milage.
Don't know bottom line what you are lookin for out of a build.

RE: HQ 103 113
I have the HQs 103 -- it is a chit load of fun --- I need a new back tire --- having said this I would get the 113 --- if a 103 is this much fun and it still does not have a proper tune--guess how much fun you will have on a 113?
Burn-outs no problem, hitting 115mph in seconds no problem, getting decent gas mileage is a problem--can't stay off the gas.

If money is no concern go with the 113 as the price you got is great for a turn-key package. You will alleviate all concerns with the crank and will have all basic components that are better/stronger than stock. The 103 is a great build and you can get a lot of "grin factor" out of it, it does produce really good results at a lot less money.
Quite a few of us on this forum have done multiple builds to get to where we have what we want at quite an expense. If you are truly a power junkie, then just go whole hog the first time and save yourself money in the long run. When the builds are done right, reliability is not sacrificed.
The difference in a 103 and a 107 is not that great IMO and not worth the extra money, now going to 113 or 120, a whole different ball game.

If you can do a 113" for $4,600 installed I would do it no doubt over the 103" oh yeah to late already did and I sleep real good at night toworth every penny you won't regret it if you do the 103" you will wonder how the 113" would have been. If you are adicted to power like some of us you won't have enough untill it scares thesheet out of you anyway.

One item that would be key to me is wanting to do the work myself. I think of working on the bike as working on a model or such. For the price you have been quoted it would be tempting to drop it off and then pick it up later all done too. If money is not an obstacle I have to assume you are working pretty damn hard and may not have the time.
Best of luck to you and let us know what you decide. I severly doubt you will be disappointed.
