Ran the power supply and attached to the back side of the cig lighter that way power is supplied only when key is on... Ran theantenna to the top side of the inner fairing (some have mounted there's inside the fairing... Attached the Radio unit with Heavy Duty Velcro for easy on & off.. Mine has FM Mod built-in and have never hard a problem yet... Even in the LA & San Diego market

How do you hard wire the aux jack on the HD radio, or do you just plug it in? Some one thought that there was an aux jack on the rear of the HD radio. This would allow are wires to be hidden.????

be cautuous and aware that not all the sat radios (Sirius) run on 12v. thus, you will need a connector that is designed to convert the power from the bike's 12 volt to 4.5 volts or so that some of the radios run on. quick way to smoke the radio if you're not careful. I added a power plug (cigarette lighter receptical) under my fairing to attach the power cord from my Sirius. Since then, I think that cyclegadgets.com or others have a power cord that reduces the voltage and allows for a direct hard-wire.

Good point and so true. In the Sirius Motorcycle SIR-PMK1 kit there is hardwire connections for 12 and 4.5 voltys to accomodate a variety of the satellite radios that Sirius currently sells.
