Buying a used set is cheaper. If you can find a set on ebay, in the color of your bike, you will be set. Also, the newer bags are made of ABS, much better than the fiberglass, IMO. Also, look at the police bags. I like them, and you can usually find them on ebay for less than $300. If money is no object, I would buy a set of gator boxes, or some other big bag, which is wider, and some are even deeper... just sayin'...

There are alot of aftermarket bags on the market - But in the long run your going to pay more $$$ buy the time you get them color matched and such....
But HD's aren't cheap... around $1400.00 - $1550.00 for the pr... Then you'll need to add matching locks (add $25.00 X2)

Might try calling some Trike Manfu. Companies as they normally\may have a few hanging around... If your lucky you should be able to pick a pr up from these folks for around $1000.00
E-Bay... Just remember you'll never find one that matches the stripe on the tank - But that's a easy fix at the next rally you go to... And if you look and find something on E-Bay mke sure they match you base color and have all the hardware (Replacing hardware is a killer on the pocket book) These normally for out for around $500.00 - $700.00 per set

ebay all the way. I was in the same boat as you, took 3 months, but eventually I found a color matched set to my RKC for $600 shipped. Had the locks rekeyed at a locksmiths for $30.

You would like to change out to Hard bags right?
Well if you can, get the plastic ones (newer type). The fiberglass ones are prone to cracking...
I can't remember what year they went to the plastic type...

I have a set that I tried to match the anniversary "sterling Silver" but didn't match exactly....I think they are closer to the H-D Brilliant Silver. I have tried to sell them on craigs list a couple times. problem is I bought them for 500 and then cost me 400+ to paint, but tryin to get like 700 for them. they are brand new looking.........nor cal
