Installing the brackets will drive you nuts! But once you're finished it dont seem as bad Looks Good!

So, I'm wondering what was the tough part? I have the detachable backrest and was thinking about getting the additional docking hardware and mounting rack and do the tour pack, too. The backrest wasn't too bad. What am I in for? Thanks, Jim

There are several good threads on this subject if you do a search.

I would just add that it helps to jack up the rear of the bike to relieve the pressure on the fender struts. It also helps to take one bolt out at a time as you do each side. There are two bolts on each side that can bea PITA. If you take both out, things may shift out of alignment. Here are a few pics to give you an idea how things look.

The two bolt at the top of the picture are the bolts that are a PITA. They go through the fender strut into the fender.
