I always start with www.pricegrabber.com to compare gadgets. Regarding purchasing from eBay fora Garming unit - Don't do it unless the company is an authorized Garmin reseller and provides a store receipt. Garmin will not honor the warranty for items sold on auction sites and for the price of this unit it simply is not worth the hassle. I have had mine replaced once due to abad on/off switch on the unitand had to have the motorcycle cradle replaced due to rotting rubber covers, so the warranty is an important thing to have.

 

PCNation.com... shipped (2nd day.. paid for ground) to my door with a 2 Gig SD card for $700. although this was last summer...

 

I've seen them in the mid $600.00 range on a few different web site, I'm just wondering if it's worth the money compared to like a Tom Tom. We have three of them in the family and they work great.
I'll have to do some more reading to see if I can justify the extra 300.00.

 

PCNation for $664 two weeks ago. Had the cash but opened up an Amazon Visa and saved another $30. Bill will be paid off when it comes in so the total was $634 shipped. I have been watching these for many months and they were not dropping so I pulled the trigger and bought this one from PCNation.

 

Wife got mine off GPSNow.com as well... She hit it last Christmas when they had a sale and got it for less that $600... We bought two more of the lower end Garmin's for our mom's this Christmas same place... Some of the vendors she looked at did not have decent returns policies...

 

PC nation..PCNation.com?? I just got mine there delivered for $671.00.,..carefull with ebay..on my warentee it states that it's not covered if bought on an on line auction...

 

Bought mine in May and it just went paws up. Need to call Garmin.
