MOCO had a recall to re-flash the ECM did yours make the list by chance? My buddies 07 UC got it done (free at dealer) and runs much cooler now. As for the Namz, I have no experience with that - sorry.

We picked ours up in July 07 so perhaps it had been done at the factory, although I will look into it. Thanks.

If you can afford it, I would do the full Stage 1 SERT. That gets you the better throttle response, the hi flo A/C, and Race Tuning for the bike.

Best of luck.

What is the cost for a full stage 1 upgrade?

It's NOT just the ULTRA that are running hot.. It's ALL the 96' TC - You just feel it more because of the lowers...

STAGE 1 - COST $$$$ Really depends on what you want to use... Best deal I can think of would be to get ahold of Jamie @ FuelMoto (Vendor here) and he has a great package includes a K&N AIR KIT - POWER COMMANDER III & RUSH SLIP-ONS.... This alone with A GOOD SYN OIL (like AMSOIL or MOBIL 1 VT) will improve your overall performance - sound better & help in reducing the HEAT... If you have a Pass.. Might even consider RJ'S ORIGNALS Shields (these do work great & look good also)

COST... Stage 1 Thru FuelMoto is less then $700.00 (if I remember right)

On top of the stage 1 I would look at the HD premium oil cooler if you live in the south where it gets real hot. I was seeing 250 deg on 95deg days before the stage 1 and cooler. Now on 95 deg days the bike runs right around 215 degs, I don't know how I rode the bike without the two upgrades now. lol..

Thanks to all who replied, That sounds just about right dollar wise for what I had planned. When I picked up the bike I asked a service tech at the dealership about getting an oil cooler and he didn't recommend it for Michigan said it made it harder to get the oil out on changes. But as hot as it runs I'm inclined to go with one. Any recommendations on what cooler to use?

I would do just the stage 1 first. Then if needed do the oil cooler. I for one don't seem to need it......
