Default Tires 880 or Commander

Help I cannot decide between Metzeler 880 or Michelin Commander, for my 06 Ultra.
Questions:
1: If you had both how do they compare?
2: What kind of millage are you getting?

Thanks

Had the 880's, did not get any extra miles out of them and really disliked them! Went to the Avon Vemons and so far so good!

FastUltra, what did you dislike about the Metzes? I have them on my FLHT and they were MUCH better than the Dunlops. Got about 10 or 11,000 miles on them, rear looks to have a couple more left in it. They are sensitive to air pressure and like it higher than Dunlops. What did you run for pressures?

Ripp: I went from OEM Dunlops on the '05 Road King Classic to M 880s. I really like them. As said, they are a little more sensitive to air pressure. Riding solo; 36 psi front and 38 psi rear. Riding two up; 38 psi front and 40 rear. I think that they hold their track while on grooved concrete better than I experienced with the OEM Dunlops. I have no experience with Avons, so can't compare there. ..... BC

FWIW, Metzeler recommends a minimum psi of 38 front, 44 rear, and advises to adjust up for load! I've been running 40F-44R solo, and around 42F-46R 2 up with a load.
I bet a lot of people aren't seeing the kind of mileage they should out of these tires due to under inflation.
