Get This----The Ultimate True Biker Story
I just got home from my local dealership. I got into a "serious" discussion with four other patrons. One guy was saying that he did not consider E Glide riders as true bikers. (I know, here we go again with "true bikers.") Why? Because E Glides have, as he put it "various audio devices." He stated that true bikers would never have radios, bluetooths, CBs, intercoms, or any other audio devices connected to their bikes. (By-the-way, he was not an older rider. He was no more than 30-35 years old.) We had a pretty intense, but friendly debate. After, I left on my non true bikers bike and went home. He left on his Sportster.

Once he gets tired of his Sportster, (which I would like to see him ride cross country), and he comes up with enough money to purchase an E-Glide, he'll probably start telling everyone that if you ride a Sportster, you aren't a real biker. LOL.
Rear biker don't ride this, they don't wear this, they don't do this......... ENOUGH ALREADY. [:@]
Who determines what a real biker is?
Let's take this guy to a few club houses (HA, Outlaws, Pagans, Bandidos, Mongols etc.) and see if he will tell them they aren't real bikers for riding E-Glides. LOL. [sm=bicker.gif] [sm=icon_beat.gif] [sm=violin.gif]

Just out of curousity (sp?) how many miles was cross country? I give you your due credit though. My bad back would never hold up. I'd be a walking basket case if I ever tried that on a Sportster. This is why I bought my Ultra Caddilac.
I used to ride a rigid frame 55 Panhead with an extended front end everywhere I wentwhen I got out of the service, but then again, I was a LOT younger and more flexible. Not knocking Sportsters, I just prefer my Ultra. To me, Sportsters are bar hoppers and short run bikes. But then, that's just my opinion. I still wouldn't mind owning one.
