i started the bike last month and it ran fine..yesterday i tried starting it and the battery was almost dead..so i hooked the batter charger up and let it get a good charge on the battery..when i try to start it, it will fire up for a split second then quit, after 3 tries of this the key light will start flashing on the dash and then i have to unlock the security...it will fire right up for a quick second then stop....3 more times then a repeat as above..wondering if maybe the security system thinks the bike is being stolen and preventing it from running???i did disconnect the battery for about 2 minutes also...

 

Your bike is acting just like the security system is engaged. You need to charge the bike up completely and then turn off the security system. If that does not work...unplug the security module after you get it turned off and see how it does.

i dont mean to be ignorant but how do i turn it off, i have no owners manual... thanks brian

 

I only have the wallet card to enter bike into service/transport mode:

-Set run/off switch to OFF

-Turn IGN key to ON

-Press and hold the key fob button until confirmation is received

-Turn IGN to OFF

-Press and hold key fob button until confirmation is received



You can probably search the forum elsewhere for other alarm setting mods.
