Has anyone done one of these before? I'm thinking of getting a chrome set of SG wheels/pulley for my Ultra.

Thanks for the info. The ones I'm looking at are only 300ish per wheel. I wanted to go with a completely solid wheel but this way is cheaper.

If you are talking about American Chrome (or something like that) in Kalifornia, they do great work. Ask for Pat.

I did an ebay chrome exchange with ebayer ImpressChrome and am completely satisfied. They were asking more than 300 per wheel, and I just emailed they with what I could afford and they went for it. It worked out to about 275 per wheel (including shipping). The hardest part for me was getting the right information on the sealed wheel bearings (3/4" on 2005 fatboy) and the right size spacer that fits between the bearings (4" spacer for my FB wheels). Then of course you think, well, the wheels are off, so should I do the rotors, and then well, how about calipers so what turned out to be a budget wheel upgrade for me got expensive with the addition of chrome pully, chrome rotors, and chrome PM calipers. My sig represents all this recent work. If you have the willpower (and I don't) to hold off on the other stuff, I can be done at a fraction of the price at the dealers.

 

definately upgrade the rotors this wheel and rotor combination is squeak prone so many threads about that will eventually up grade but i'm cool with moco geometry of 16's.for now
