I am kinda disappointed with the mileage as well.. I gotbetter mileage with my Heritage... Just had the 1000 mile service done in Santa Maria and all was well... Im not sure how much the CA controls have to do with it... with fuel over $3.75 here... every penny counts... how can we afford the chrome with gas this pricy... LOL

Nice ride by the way... If you ever get this far north.. stop by...

1) 47 to 48 mpg. Started out at around 35 miles per and improved with age.

I live in Phoenix and have never gotten more then 39MPG and I usually get around 34 MPG. I have thought about mixing a half a tank of gas with a half a tank of bullshit to see if I could reach 50 MPG going downhill with a tailwind.

Not sure if it matters but my bike is also an ABS bike.
brand of gas used is Mobil 91 octane
