Back and forth to work, 18 miles each way, 42 - 45 mpg.
Weekend riding (around 250-350 miles per day) 48 - 50 mpg.

I tend to let the bike warm up before riding. Just like a car, I bet it sucks down the extra gas. 93 octaine Mobil. (91 when in Maine).

2007 Ultra Classic, 110" Screaming Eagle, True Duals with Rineharts. I was averaging 25 with or without the sidecar. Getting 90-100 miles per tank SUCKS!!!!!! Bike was tuned way off with some crappy stock tuner. Now have PCV and with max performance custom tune was getting 30-32 in stop and go. Played with tune a little and bumped the mpg to about 35 mpg in stop and go. Going to play just a little more and see if I can't do better! Then I will reinstall the hack and see how it does.

Just because you, and FDHOG can't do it, don't even try to tell me I can't. There are a lot of people who get this kind of mileage.

1 picture..... 1000 words. 6 gallon tank ....... remaining miles left.......... you do the math.

I do do the math....at every fillup. Question is do you? I've seen those BS computers tell you have 40 miles left in the tank and 10 miles later you have 5. Unless you really do the math you can't claim 50 MPG. And furtermore, if we're talkin' averages here, how do you rationalize that you get 50 under optimum conditions and diminished results under any other.....that you average 50? Noboby is going to average 50 MPG under any circumstances. Your computer is lying to you and you are impressed by it.
Just sayin'

It's also because he just filled up and the computer hasn't started to adjust his mileage to his riding.

Well yeah, I know that. That's why those computers are worthless. Why would a guy even post a picture like that claiming because he just put 6 gallons of fuel in his tank that he's gonna' get 300+ miles. The computer would tell him the same if he just filled it from a fire hydrant. My point is you must calculate it with a pen and paper, or a calculator at least and over several tankfulls. Weather, terrain, altitude and ATTITUDE all play a part. I challenge anyone whose posted on this thread that they will not average 50 mpg over ten consecutive tankfulls, unless they are riding on flatland, over open highway and running in 6th gear 99% of the time and never take the tach above 2200. Then you still have to remember that most of our bikes tell us were traveling 5% faster than we really are. So you must factor that in too. So 300 miles on the odometer is really only 285.

10 Ultra 50 mpg. Cobra FI2000R, Stage I intake, stock exhaust and oil cooler.

That average is with 21,000 miles all over the US and Canada.

12 RGC and 12 RGC CVO both get 50 + mpg

Buell XB12XT adventure touring bike 55 mpg. Bone stock.

10 FXD 53 mpg same set up as the Ultra. 07 FXSTC 50 mpg.

That is riding the speed limit and with cruise on those equipped.

I don't set bikes up for high power, I set them up for mpg by getting the most low and mid-range torque.

More air in, 12.1-1 AFR, stock muffler for back pressure and oil cooler all add up to high mpg. It has worked for me since 2006 and on all families of HD except the darn Vrod at 44 mpg but I am working on that this winter.

I live in Illinois but that is not a factor. I get 50 mpg going across the Rockies and in Florida. Most of my local miles is on State and county roads with 55 mph speed limits which I do in 6 th and cruise. However I log my trips and as I said the touring bikes have yielded 50 mpg plus on all my trips. Miles of the trip are by GPS not speedometer.

EPA did rate the TC96's at 54 mpg highway. I have came close on some tanks. The 12RGC TC103 with no alcohol gas has gotten into the 53 + mpg's.

I am a mpg fanatic with a Prius. I even did that with my Corvettes and Viper. I got the Prius C to 66 mpg, the Corvette to 34.4 mpg and the Viper to 24 mpg. Why? because I want to and can. It entertains me.
