RE: I guess I am just dunb but
I've never bought a bike from Lakeland HD but have had my bikes serviced there and I will say that the service department was knowledgeable and I've never had any problems with them. Their new store Ridge Harley in Lake Wales in the closest shop to my house, their parts guys and service guys are very friendly. We had a group of us on a ride stop in at Ridge one weekend and one of the guys traded his sporty for a dyna, the staff treated him right.

F*ck Lakeland Harley...the one time I had service done there they messed it up and guess who had to pay extra $$...not to get into all the details but my cousinis a certified HD mechanic, i explained what they did and he agreed they messed up...I hear from many people they are a$$holes, now not everyone there is but overall, I'll never go to that dealership again for service...but I am a Polk County HOG member...go figure

We have a dealer like this in PA it is Cerini HD and they are a bunch or criminals there and Eric Cerini is the biggest. I can't believe the MOCO lets these dealers get away with this stuff You would think that the oldest dealer in PA would be one of the best but that is far from the truth. I bought a brand new bike ther last year and had problems from the start with it and Eric wouldnt make it right so I just went and sold the damn bike so I didnt have to deal with Cerini HD anymore the problems were fixed by me and no other problems were present when I sold the bike but I was no longer willing to deal with them and sold the damn thing. So I purchased a new SG from Steel City and haven't had a problem with them yet. Sometimes It seems like we would be better of to deal with a used car salesman when buying or getting service on a bike that we paid 20k for unbelievable the quality of customer service that goes on these days! I wonder how some of these people sleep at night. *Never buy from Cerini HD in Rostraver PA* that was told to me before I bought but I chose not to listen, do yourself a favor and never deal with them.

As the old saying goes, if it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, sounds like a duck then it's probably a duck.
It's a crying shame that you should be burnt like that by what should be considered a repuatible HD Dealer. At the very least, I would sit down and compose a letter to HD and inform them of what happened.
They may do nothing, but then, on the other hand, you may help some other poor soul from encountering the same problem.
Someone else made a comment about a dealer we have here in PA being of this same cut. I would add to his statements....
I saw a bike advertised on their website and it peaked my intrest. So, being nearby, I decided to take a ride over and have a look.
The bike was as advertised however, when I talked to the salesman, and he offered to give me a price quote, the price he came back with was $1000.00 more than the price they had it listed for in their ad.
I thanked him for his time, went back out to my bike, and left....never to return again.
I have been riding since 1961, and way back then this dealership was known to be a good place to stay away from.
I thought that they had possibly changed since old "Babe" died and they built the big new building. Evidently I was mistaken!

they took off the true duals and pc without calling to tell you? sounds like they thought it was their bike. you should have let them have it....after getting your money back. regarding more power....you need to get it dyno'd or a map with your exhaust and a/c combo.

I grew up in Lakeland and bought my first Harley from them in 1974. A few weeks back my wife went to Florida for a conference and stopped in Lakeland to buy me a t-shirt. The folks at the counter were rude to her but she bought the shirt anyway. I filled out the customer service survey on their website and told them I wish she had left the fricking shirt in the store. Now when I wear it, it pisses me off and I tell everyone who asks about Lakeland HD what I think. Word of Mouth is their best advertisement. I will never purchase another item from them.
