I went with stainless button head allen
Exactly what I did as well.
Where did you acquire these button head allen screws. At the dealer?

I got mine from lowes. Better selection than home depot in my area. Mathews2, Let me know if you cannot find them and I will look for them when i go back.

I did get mine at the dealer Mike. We have a selection of CHROME bolts, washers, nuts, etc...that I cross-reference from. I've changed all my little fasteners out for chrome ones all over my bike this way. Much cheaper than buying the HD kit off the shelf and paying for the packaging.

thanks guys, I am about to change the fluids again, and I will be replacing the torx with button heads. I will go ahead and bet 100 bucksI will be using the dremel to get atleast two of them out of the derby cover. I hate the torx head screws.

Did it like Mathew2 said.
I put a couple layers of duct tape around the bolt. That way it might survive a minor slip.
Came right out after I got the slot in it.

What if the stripped Torx is the bottom one on the rear caliper of a 91 Springer? How do I get that out?
