I am thinking for $250 shipped from Zanotti's the HD cooler may be the better choice.
There's one caveat on installing the kit. It is very easy except for one step, which is attaching the "oil-filter adapter," which is a threaded fitting that attaches the adapter to the housing, and the oil filter also screws into it. It is attached by a 7/16" or 11mm Allen wrench. Finding an Allen wrench this size is difficult and almost nobody has one, so plan accordingly. Find a threaded coupler with a 7/16" diameter, inserting one end into the fitting and using a 7/16" socket on the other--or use a bolt with 7/16" head and nut, locking the nut on one end, and use it to tighten this oddball fitting. Torque on it is 12-16 ft/lbs.

Bought Harley Prem. oil cooler. Pictures on early posts. Works great. Has a chrome cover. Yes you can buy parts. Complete parts breakdown came in the box. Stock on all SE models.
Purchase at Zanotti's on line of course.
On 07 RKC
Ran Jagg on Pan. worked good mount on frame left front down tube. Phillm right just throw the cover on it for cool weather.

I am interested in the JAGG 10-row vertical oil cooler. Can you still use the soft HD nylon cold weather lowers/covers that fit over the crash bars with this unit? I am riding a roadking[sm=confused06.gif]

Jagg does not make the coolers for HD any longer as previously posted.
The 10 row jagg low mount is new in 07. Put it on in July and had significant improvement.
Did not install the thermostat per Jagg recommendation.

I read one thread where the HD kit gives issues with the voltage regulator plug in (I believe) making the oil filter difficult to put on and remove and makes it possible to break it if not careful. Is this the case?

The Oil Cooler lines themselves cause no issues with Oil Filter removal or install and don't get anywhere near the Voltage Regulator plug-in. Once you get the HD Oil TemP Gauge and try to mount the sending unit per HD instructions, all bets are off. Mount the sending unit in the oil pan and there are no issues.

We got the Jagg setup fro Shooter 64 (bart) and are very happy with the results.

Jagg makes the coolers we use on the SPRINT CUP cars and they work very well for that application.

Good Luck

In reply to Swipter's concern, I have the HD Premium Cooler and I found that the HD adapter moves the filter just far enough inboard that a K&N filter will not fit (too long) and the HD oil filter end cap wrench will not fit on a standard filter. Both interfere with the Crank Position Sensor.Iremove the CPS when I change out the filter. If you switch to the Jagg offset adapter, the interference goes away. -Tom
