I'll keep looking and eventually find a good deal on leather bags, and will likely run them the majority of the time since I primarily pleasure ride. I'll definitely keep the hard bags though, you can't beat them for security and protection plus it's not that common a color. I love the look of the RK Classics with leather bags but like Hogback said, to be able to change the look so much, so easily, would be very cool too.

Thanks for the feedback, hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

I like my leather bags, they easily can hold a 12 pack each, try that with hard bags!

I used to have both for my RK, I had the V Logo leather when I stripped it down for a Classic Cruiser look around town and used the Hard Bags, Windshield and Backrest with Luggage Rack on trips. Have a 07 EGC now.

I think the leather added a classic look.

It comes down to preference but I think that the leather bags are a bit more flexible and can hold more stuff in it.

I like that the hard bags can be locked so no passerby and go through them when you're not there. However I have found out that the hard bag's paint is prone to scratching from passenger's who don't know how to get on a bike :P That's why I ride solo now, lol.

Sharkbite, That may be true but with hardbags you can use them as an ice chest on a hot day = cold beer!! Try that with yoru leathers.

I didn't think the RKC would look right with the WW and the hard bags, but your bike ROCKS Pastor John!

If you want a decent lock for your leather bags try this site, www.inertiawrx.com/ , I put them on my bike and they work well. Machined parts, quality product made in the USA.

Both have great character and a distinguished look. I like the brown and black of the Anniversary Leather ones.

Nothing wrong with either. All depends on what you want. Personally, I like the hard bags better on my bike. Looks, durability, locks etc. However, most of my friends swear by theirleather bags and wouldn't change them for the world. Good friend put some leather bags on his Sporty and they looked a ton better than the hard bags he had on before IMO. Just flowed a lot better than the others. Get what you like and best suits your needs.
