' 07 or ' 08 Ultra

RE: ' 07 or ' 08 Ultra
Compare apples to apples, is the price difference for the 07 to 08 on a similar 08 bike without ABS? If so, keep negotiating on the 07and see if you can get the IDS thrown in and maybe a little extra like an extended warranty or a parts gift card. Only difference in the 08's is the IDS and TBW, unless you are buying an 08 with the ABS. Same engine, tranny and everything else. If you are thinking of trading every couple of years, then the model "year" is a consideration for trade in or resale value, but after a couple of years, what you save from the 07 to 08 will equal out. One other thing to consider is that the ABS is new to HD and therefore may have issues, or may not. But it is very sensitive to wheel an tire changes so if planning modifications consider that also.
Good luck with your decision, either way, you will like 'em!
