Default Hogtunes Ultrasound Kit

Hello
The hogtunes web site eludes to a new product that will add rear speakers
to 98 and newer bikes with a batwing fairing - but its still a secret.
What about us Road Glide owners? I want this kit for my RG!
Pez - RSVP
Thanks

I believe if you buy the ulta classic overlay harness it would work. On my road glide the previous owner had it set up with the CB/intercom so the wire harness was already there letting me just plug in the factory speakerpods.

Hey

The kit will be plug and play and the amp can be playing in about 20 minutes. The reason I havent posted anything about Glides yet is I have to make a mounting plate for inside the fairing. I can mount the amp anywhere in the shark fairing, but since the harness works so well on batwing fairings, I want my cake and eat it to, so the wiring will be perfect in RG's as well.

I have an adaptor plate idea on paper to do this, and expect to make a proto this week. My local dealer has a big job on a RG so I can fine tune the adaptor.

Hogtunes FULLY expects to have the adaptor kit for RG's out soon after the Ultrasound kit is released.

Please keep in mind you will need the King Tour pak installed to make the kit work

Hope this helps

Hey PEZ.

Will your new amp work with pre-2006 models, and for applications using front speakers only? I will be installing your speakers in my 2004 Police Electra Glide, but if the amp would also work well and add some nice kick, I'd wait for it in Spring. Thanks.

Hey Cool

The amp was designed for the rear speaker kit. In most cases--changing the speakers is more than enough for most people. Were getting lots of requests to sell the amp separate---but it wouldnt be till Spring sometime. I can assure you if you get an amp later--it is EASY to put in--most guys can have it in and playing in 20 minutes after the fairing is off. The harness is 100% plug and play--NO WIRE SPLICING, and the amp which weighs just under 1 pound velcros to the top of your radio.

Hope this helps........

Hey Pez, I've never seen anyone address this issue... I have an '03 FLHTCI that I added Harley's Advanced sound system to (it added rear speakers, changed the front speakers and put an amp under the trunk). It improved the sound quality and volume IMMENSELY, but much like the motor, more is never enough.

Anything neat can be done with that?

I can't wait either, I have been bugging Pez like crazy to get me a amp now since the bike is apart anyways, but no such luck yet. Don't worry I will report to you guys as soon as it is available, since Pez is only a few miles from me, and as soon as it is released I will have it in my bike the same day.

Hey Redscout

IMHO--Change the speakers out to our 4 speaker "ultrakit" for Ultras and you will be MOST happy. I can be at highway speed behind the test bike I used (02 Ultra no amp) and tell what song is on the radio.

I have the proto plate made for Glides--and still expect to sign off on it this week
