Default Help wih Billet Aluminum Air Cleaner

Ok, this may sound dumb... but before I go ripping off the center logo fom my air cleaner I just want to make sure thats where the hold down screw is. I just got the bike with this air cleaner on it. I cant see any other way its held down other then a screw in the center... the normal way.

Thanks.

Yes the mounting bolt is behind the medallion. Carefully pry it off. I use a small screwdriver to get it started.

Hey sidewayz,

Your cover is the same as mine (except my center says 103 . You can gently pry the center off. There is a small rubber gasket and it kinda snaps in place. There should be an allen bolt inside. Good luck.

Larry

Thanks. I picked up an 03 RG (silver/black) so I sold my 01 RG (red) then I was preesented with the opportunity to purchase a wrecked 05 RG with a 95" and a 6 speed plus a bunch of other goodies. Its not as badly damaged as what was originaly thought so Im in the process of rebuilding it. Always wanted a Hot Rod bike. Its been a good few months.
