Default Rebuilt Seat

Has anyone had a seat rebuilt by a local upholsterer? I was thinking maybe it could be a way to get better padding while keeping the stock look.

Default RE: Rebuilt Seat

Did the exact thing a few bikes ago. They used my old seat cover as a pattern then asked me where I needed more/less padding. It was quite a few years back and only cost me $25 but shouldn't be too utrageous in today's dollars. Certainly cheaper than buying a whole new seat.

Now would be the time to think about having a gel pad installed while you are at it.
