Default Lower Fairings and Brake Pedal

I just installed lower fairings on my 08 RG. Now my boot has a hard time getting the right angle on the brake pedal. I have to raise it and go at it straight on. In a hurry I'm afaid I may not get the right angle to make good contact. Has anyone had to deal with this and what was your fix? Thanks and Happy Holidays!

I think there's a learning curve.I installed lowers on my EGC today and when I rode it, a few times my toe hit the fairing instead of the brake. After awhile I found myself hitting the brake ok.

Do you have the floorboard extenisons? The ones that push them outwards.

i have an '08 UC and had to lower my shift levers.
before, i would have to pick my left foot off the floorboard to get it upon the shifter. now i just move my toe over and its right there.

I think the learning curve is the trick. I moved both shift levers down a click or two but the brake is good on my 08UC.

That will give you more time with the front brake, the one I grab first in a panic.

I had the same problem as I only install the lower fairings in late fall and remove them mid spring. You will get used to it after riding with them for a while, but I had the same fear with having a "sudden" situation and getting my foot caught on the fairing.

The only real solution is to modify the fairing. That could get expensive and mught not give you an attractive look. Your brain will adjust. T.
