I have a 23 foot fleetwood nitrous hyperlite that I towed with my 2002 z71 1500 chevy (5.3 litre engine),the advertised dry weight of the trailer is around 4600 lbs ,but that doesn't include any of the extras like tv,stereo ,bunk beds, etc,etc etc ,which can add up quickly,it is a nice comfy trailer with all the ammenities and more and has a seperate bedroom an bathroom and will haul 2 bikes possibly 3 ,Fleetwood advertises it as being half ton towable,my 1500 chevy did a decent job of pulling the trailer and was probably all I needed ,I now have a 02 3/4 ton duramax diesel and can hardly tell the trailer is back there.

Once you find your trailer, pm me and I can help you get a great deal on a brand new toyota tundra with 10,000 pound towing capacity and 380 hp with 403 ft pounds of torque.
You wont need anything else and it much cheaper than getting a f250 or a dually.
I pull a 26 foot trailer with my show car on it ot my 25 foot boat and truck feels like there is hardly anything on it it is a beast....

Recently bought an '0726Y (26 foot) Jayco Octane TH with Condor wheel chock; tow it with a 3/4 ton Ford PU 5.4 V-8. Great trailer for under $23K. They make a 21Ft. and 24 footer, which are a little lighter and may be more well suited for the 1/2 ton SUV. I looked at every brand of TH in the NE area before I bought the Jayco. I also looked at the Weekend Warrior brand (high end price) but they've had more quality issues for a trailer twice the price of a Jayco. Go to the Trailer Life magazine (forum) and do some research, too. Whatever you end up buying, get a good wheel chock to secure your bike. The Condor model I have is removeable from the floor mount and the couch drops right over it when bike is out of trailer. Adding a 2nd Condor to the trailer for the GF's new bike.

Good luck

I have a 06 R-Wagon TT made by R-Vision. I originally pulled it with a F-150. It is not the fanciest unit available but you can get it for $ 18000.00 to $20000.00. I haul a FLHX in using a Condor ****. http://www.trail-lite.com/r-wagon-travel-trailers.asp

I bought it from RV Wholesalers in Ohio. http://www.rvwholesalers.com

The Fleetwood Nitrous and Jayco look great! 1500# loading door weight capacity, perfect - thanks for the tip!

Thor made a Wanderer WagonLite in 18' and 21' that would work well with a 1/2 ton vehicle

With a 1/2 you can pull a small LITE Toy House and there are many on the market today... But these are smaller in size and creature comforts as they are good for a week-end and thing over that you may feel a bit cramped...

I really wish one of the camper manufacturers would come up with anice 5th wheel toy hauler that sleeps 2 and has room for one bagger, preferably loaded sideways with a seperate "garage" area. It would be small enough to pull with my 1/2 ton and keep in my driveway. I'd buy it tomorrow.
