So my wife made me buy an '08Road King Classic... So now the question comes, To get the power commander and do stage 1? or should I stick with the SE slipons and download with stage 1?

I only ask as I got the 7 yr full coverage, and I have read some stories of CYA when you go aftermarket mod... I was very Happy with the SE street legal slip ons on my 1200N... Thing is, I really do not need a "LOUD" bike, but the stock is a bit week... I do not want to have to deal with the "poping" either, though they said they would DYNO it so it should not, right?

As it stands right now, they are doing the true dual with power commander and SE a/c... I would need to let them know ASAP if I am going to change my mind...

I was thinking about going with these and just do the ECM download and have them Dyno it at the first service again... I just have not heard a lot of good things about going with the Fuel Packs....

I would just do the download.
You have some $'s invested in your extended warrantee, no sense in creating a potential problem for yourself, by giving them a reason not to honor it.
The heat has never bothered me & you'll appreciate the better milage you get with the download.

 

I don't understand why you want tru duals if you don't like loud. The tru duals will also cost you low end torque.

Let the dealer install the PCIII USB and A/C if you want, then buy the custom Rush slipons from Jamie at fuel Motousa.com.....If you plan to do it that way, I'd tell the dealer to leave the exhaust stock.

 

That settles it then, I will just do the stage 1 with slip ons, ECM, and a/c.
